I know these movies don't exactly have the most mature and sensible plot ever written, but the main idea is delirious and fun. When I think about the Child's Play series I don't think about them as a real horror movies, in fact I think they're comedy/horror films, and it's okay. I suppose they were meant to be that way and for that reason, I guess the results were not a failure. The Child's Play films provide both elements successfully and I respect it for that reason. Personally, I don't think they're actually scary, but I can't complain either because the movies as a whole are fun, clever and dynamic. Besides, the classical horror elements are not absent. Here we can appreciate a cool villain, gore, persecutions and a great load of entertainment...suspense?, No, not really. Chucky is perhaps one of the most memorable and cool villains ever developed. His image inspired a lot of posterior films related to psycho killer dolls such as Demonic Toys or Dolly among others and I guess there are reasons for that.
